We are only a day away from the start of the NCAA men’s hockey tournament as several teams will battle for a spot in the Frozen Four. The East Regional will take place in Providence, Rhode Island in what should be a war for a spot in the finals. The teams making up the four spots in the East are Harvard at the one seed, Western Michigan at two, Air Force at three, and Providence at four.
The Northeast Regional will take place in Manchester, New Hampshire and features some of the best teams in college hockey. The number one seed will be Minnesota after coming off a terrific season. The number two seed is UMass Lowell, followed by Cornell at number three, and Notre Dame at the fourth spot.
In the Western Regional the 2016 Champions, North Dakota will come in as the number three seed. Minnesota-Duluth’s dominance throughout the season has taken them to the top as they will enter the tournament as the number one seed. Boston University sits right behind them at the two spot, and Ohio State will round out the region as the fourth seed.
In the Midwest Regional we have the 2014 National Champions, Union, coming in as the two seed, while Denver has taken the top spot at number one. Penn State and Michigan Tech follow behind at three and four.
