Who says this world is unjust?
Last year, former Subway spokesman and convicted child molester Jared Fogle got stomped out by fellow inmate Steve Nigg for being an all around despicable person. Now, Nigg is receiving fan mail from admirers on the outside.
“I am writing to thank you for the beatdown you gave to Jared Fogle,” reads one of the many letters that Nigg has received since his January 2016 attack on Fogle at their Englewood, Colorado federal prison, TMZ reports.
“I am proud of your stance on child molestation and your unwillingness to be tolerant towards them.”
“I was a victim of sexual abuse at a young age and wish I had someone like you in my corner back then. I am tossing $50 on your books. This is my way of saying thank you for standing up for the children that are victims to scumbags like Fogle.”
Right on. We can get behind that.
Nigg is serving a 15-year sentence for being a felon in possession of a gun. He attacked Fogle in the prison recreation yard last year and left him with a bloody nose and bruises on his neck.
Nigg, 61, has been receiving fan mail like this from men, women, and even children for months.
“Good day Steven… I am writing this letter to thank you for your service,” one little boy wrote while also sending $2. “What you did took courage,” he continued.
Many who wrote to Nigg said they would’ve taken similar action.
“God bless you and know that there are many of us who stand shoulder to shoulder with you,” wrote another. “Our society may have been too severely weakened these days to administer proper judicial punishment, but the American sense of integrity, when offended, will be satisfied in one way or another by courageous brothers who will stand up for the weak when they cannot defend themselves.”
