The Arizona Wildcats will clash with Saint Mary’s Gaels in the second round of March Madness. Both teams have had an excellent season thus far, raking up wins and leaving their opponents in the dust. But only one will make it to the third round of the tournament. Who is crazy enough to last during March Madness.
The Wildcats were absolutely amazing in Thursday’s blowout victory over the North Dakota Fighting Hawks. These crazy cats preyed upon the Fighting Hawks, ending the game with a score of 100-82.
Saint Mary had a harder time putting away their opponents on Thursday. The Gaels defeated the VCU Rams in the first round of the NCAA tournament, with a score of 85-77 to end the game. Saint Mary’s John Landale really stood out in this game, scoring 18 points and providing 13 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 blocks. Landale sunk 75% of his shots against the Rams. The Wildcats really need to look out for him.
Arizona has won nine out of their last 10 games. The Wildcats are also the reigning Pac-12 Champions. Can they continue their momentum against the Gaels tonight? Or will the Saint Mary’s Gaels upset the Wildcats?
