Bayer Leverkusen travels to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their round-of-16 Champions League matchup!
Fernando Torres is expected to return to Atletico Madrid after missing the last two weeks with a head injury. The striker, 32, lost consciousness after an injury in a March 2 match against Deportivo La Coruna. Kevin Gameiro is doubtful to make an appearance with an abdominal injury, while Gabi and left-back Filipe Luis are both suspended for the game.
As for Bayer, Benjamin Henrichs and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu are suspended while Toprak, Jonathan Tah, Stefan Kiessling, and captain Lars Bender are out with injuries.
Atletico Madrid won the first leg in Germany by a score of 4-2. The fact that the four goals were scored on the road means that Bayer needs to win by five goals today in order to advance.
While Bayer has a steep hill to climb, Barcelona showed last week that anything is possible in the Champion’s League, so find out how to live stream the action below!
