The fifth season of FX’s The Americans will premier tonight at 10:00 P.M. EST.
When last we saw Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, they were attempting to smuggle a bilogoical agent out of the country to the Soviet Union. This plan took a sideways turn when William, their mole on the inside of the bio-research facility, is caught by the FBI. Rather than endure the American government’s investigation, William infects himself with the deadly virus.
Back in Russia, Philip’s son Mikhail is dead set on coming to American and finding his father. That is sure to be a shock for Elizabeth.
Elsewhere, Paige is becoming romantically involved with Stan’s son Matthew, a relationship that Philip does not approve of. You can only get so close to the FBI agent living across the street when you’re a family of Soviet spies.
