The Zags have now made it to the WCC championship an astounding 20 straight times. They’ve won 15 WCC Tournaments overall, including cutting down the nets at the last four tournaments. Standing in Gonzaga’s way of a five-peat is Saint Mary’s, who won their third WCC Tournament title back in 2012.
Gonzaga is ranked #4 in the country, and they earned the #1 seed in the WCC Tournament by finishing in first place in the regular season with a 17-1 record in conference play. They didn’t have much trouble advancing to the championship game, beating #9 Pacific 82-50 in the quarterfinals and #4 Santa Clara 77-68 in the semifinals.
