Showtime’s Billions may only be averaging just north of half a million live weekly viewers in its second season (compared to Homeland‘s season six weekly average of 1.13 million), but it still maintains a loyal fanbase as a pulpy, sweat-soaked thrill ride. Stars Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti are terrific in their respective lead roles and there is a certain The Wolf of Wall Street-like allure to the series. Grouped together with Homeland and Ray Donovan, Billions has helped Showtime compete with HBO for those coveted Sunday night eyeballs.
