There is a ton of exciting action taking place in the ACC today, as there are three different games featuring two ranked teams facing off. But while Notre Dame vs. Louisville and North Carolina vs. Duke will get all of the hype, you’re still definitely going to want to check out the Miami Hurricanes taking on the Florida State Seminoles in Tallahassee.
#25 Miami (20-9, 10-7 ACC) had been red-hot until their most recent game. Prior to getting upset on the road by Virginia Tech 66-61, the Hurricanes had won four straight games. Their most notable victories over this stretch were a 54-48 road win over #18 Virginia and a 55-50 home win over #10 Duke.
The #15 ranked Seminoles (23-7, 11-6 ACC) have hit a bit of a rough patch. They’ve dropped three of their last five games, including a loss the last time they stepped on the hardwood. On Tuesday, Florida State lost 75-70 on the road to #17 Duke.
Today’s game will have an interesting clash of styles, as Miami is 22nd in the country in scoring defense (63.3 points per game) and Florida State is 16th in the country in scoring offense (83.6 points per game). Of course, Miami’s defense didn’t do them much good in their first meeting. On February 1, 2017, Florida State smoked the Hurricanes in Miami, beating them 75-57.
