Bill Paxton Cause of Death: How Did The Actor Die?


Bill Paxton, an impressive character actor who appeared in notable hits such as TwisterTitanicApollo 13, and Aliens, has died at 61 following complications from surgery. A family representative made the announcement on Sunday. While the statement did not say when or where the actor died, Rollin Stone reported that he passed away on Saturday.

Paxton also appeared in TV series such as Big Love and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., as well as popular movies including The Terminator and True Lies. Paxton was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2012 for his work in the HBO miniseries Hatfields & McCoys. He also scored a Golden Globe nomination in 2010 for Big Love

Paxton died due to complications from surgery, the family said in a statement. On Saturday, he underwent heart surgery, Unfortunately, he suffered a fatal stroke during post-operation complications, according to reports.
“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery,” the statement said.
Paxton had not announced publicly that he was suffering from an illness or that he intended to undergo heart surgery. Over the last year, he had remained active in film and television.
Most recently, Paxton had served as a series regular on the TV show Training Day as well as appearing in three movies in the past year.
Paxton is survived by his wife, Louise Newbury, and their two children, James and Lydian.
“A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker,” his family said in a statement. “Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”
