From now on, every major dispute should be settled with a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. United Nations conflict? Bust out them hands. Rival gangs going at it? Bust out them hands. If it can work for two college lacrosse teams, it can work for anyone.
Stormy weather forced the men’s lacrosse match between Western Michigan University and Dayton Rock to be postponed, but instead of heading home, these two squads decided to declare a winner right then and there. The two teams agreed to duke it out in a classic game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to officially settle the score.
Both teams gathered around their captains in what can only be described as the greatest game of all time.
WMU’s captain came out with a sneaky play of paper, which caught Dayton Rock’s captain completely off guard as he brandished rock. The WMU team erupted in cheers as the Dayton Rock players slinked away in defeat. Victory, thy name is paper.

“One of the greatest game-ending decisions of all time,” a WMU Men’s Lacrosse spokesperson said.
“When lightning forced both teams to cancel the game tied at 0-0 the players must decide who’s the winner. In the greatest fashion of all backyard sports Rock, Paper, Scissors will decide the ‘winner’ of the game.
“Of course, this is all in good fun and sportsmanship. The players wanted to compete and have fun before everyone had to take off and go back to their respective universities.”
The actual match took place back in October but the footage only recently surfaced online and thank everything that is good in this world that it did. This is awesome not only for the ludicrous amount of importance placed on a children’s game but also for both teams agreeing to a friendly match to declare a winner. Bravo all around, boys.
