AMC’s Humans debuted in January 2015 to solid critical reviews and decent ratings (around two million weekly viewers). At the time, the futuristic sci-fi series about sentient robots was considered a mid-level hit for AMC; it was a nice victory for a network still trying to fill the post-Breaking Bad void. But now, in the wake of Westworld‘s overwhelming success, the future of this robot-centric series is unclear.
Will fans continue to tune in now that HBO has reverse engineered a bigger and better show that occupies the same head space? Questions of developing consciousness and the nature of humanity helped drive the first season of Humans. Although the show dipped a bit in its final few episodes, it still served as a smart, thought-provoking sci-fi drama. Unfortunately for AMC, Westworld upped the ante tenfold with a $100 million production budget that tackles many of the same themes. Can the smaller, scaled-down Humans survive by comparison?

You can watch Humans online via AMC’s website. You will need your log-in and password information for your cable or satellite provider and you’re good to go.
