The New England Patriots had their parade today to celebrate their Super Bowl 51 victory. The Patriots won in overtime 34-31, overcoming a 28-3 deficit and scoring 31 unanswered points. Their 25 point-comeback shattered the previous Super Bowl record of 10 points, breaking the hearts of poor Atlanta Falcons fans everywhere.
This was the Patriots’ fifth Super Bowl victory, with all five of their championships coming in the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era. Belichick’s five Super Bowl rings are the most of any head coach, while Brady’s five championships are the most of any quarterback. They are the most dominant duo the NFL has ever seen, and unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like their empire will come to an end anytime soon.
You would think that with all of the constant winning over the years Patriots fans might get bored with all of the success. But judging by those parade photos, that certainly does not appear to be the case. Even in shitty weather, Patriots fans turned out in droves to toast their football team and laugh at that moron Roger Goodell.
