Tonight, the Kentucky Wildcats will travel to Mississippi State to take on the Bulldogs in a SEC clash. If the upset-minded Bulldogs are going to have a shot at pulling off the huge win, they will have to slow down the Wildcats’ high-octane offense. The 15-2 Cats are riding a five-game winning streak, with all five of these victories taking place in conference play. Their 5-0 SEC record has them tied with Florida for first place in the conference.
The Bulldogs (12-4, 3-1 SEC) have a modest win steak of their own, picking up Ws in their last three games. Mississippi State has been playing solid ball this season, but they’ve yet to see a team anywhere near the caliber of Kentucky. This will be their first time facing a ranked opponent, and they’ve already dropped home games to Central Florida, Lehigh, East Tennessee State, and Alabama.
