I was clicking around the internet and I stumbled onto this debut trailer for an upcoming movie called Raw. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a ‘horror movie guy’ but I love the occasional terror-fueled piss dribble while watching a flick, so I checked out the trailer to see if it looked any good. As it turns out, this movie is apparently so scary/twisted/gross that it was making people faint at its Toronto International Film Festival screening in September.

Described by Toronto Film Festival as the story of “a shy, vegetarian student at a veterinary college [who] develops an insatiable lust for flesh as the result of a gruesome hazing ritual,” Raw was apparently so visceral that paramedics had to be dispatched to the TIFF screening after a few of the theater’s patrons passed out while watching.
Today the first trailer was released and it’s easy to see why people were dropping like flies.
