Donald Trump is less than a month away from stepping into his role as President of the United States. January 20, 2017 is the official date when Barry O calls it quits to retire on a golf course somewhere (presumably). Trump’s inauguration will obviously be yuge. But what tunes will be rockin’ at the upcoming Trump presidential extravaganza? We’ll give you a look at the entertainment scheduled to celebrate next month’s inauguration of this infamous orange ham. Hit the music!
Right now, there are only two musical performances scheduled for the event. The first singer will be Jackie Evancho, a 16-year-old America’s Got Talent contestant, who will be starting off the show with the “Star-Spangled Banner.” This is her second time performing in front of the President of the United States; in 2010, she sang “Oh Holy Night” at the National Christmas Tree lighting and met President Barack Obama.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir are scheduled to be the second musical act of the evening. On Thursday, this group announced their participation in Trump’s swearing-in ceremony. This choir is no stranger to presidential inaugurations, as they previously performed at the inauguration of George H.W. Bush, Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson. This group also sang at former President George W. Bush’s inaugural parade.

According to the The Wrap on Wednesday, Donald Trump is very unhappy that many mainstream celebrities have declined to participate in his inauguration. Music icons like Elton John, Garth Brooks and Celine Dion refuse to take part in Trump’s festivities. Opera singer Andrea Bocelli was once scheduled to perform, but backed out after receiving intense backlash from angry voices on the internet. However, The Beach Boys are reportedly considering performing at Trump’s inauguration. “The Beach Boys have been asked to perform as part of the inauguration festivities,” the band said in a statement. “But no decision has been made at this point as to how or whether they will participate. We will let you know as soon as a decision is final.”
Besides this much-anticipated inauguration of the infamous Trump, there are two scheduled inaugural balls. The Great American Inauguration Ball is being held this week. But the All American Inaugural Ball is scheduled the day before Trump takes office. The website for the All American Ball says that it will showcase a “stellar list of special guests, plus multiple areas of entertainment and attractions, which represent the diversity, energy and promise of America.”
If you want to celebrate Trump’s victory in grand fashion then the All-American Inaugural Ball may be what’s right for you. But you’ll have to travel all the way to the nation’s capital to see the event, which will take place at the Hyatt Regency Washington Capitol Hill from 9 pm to midnight. And tickets for this event don’t come cheap. Even though this ball is open to the public, tickets are currently going for $250 per person. And that price is only for a limited time, as single tickets will soon go for $350. Yikes!
But who will be the musical guests at the All American Inaugural Ball? Beau Davidson may be the most famous name on the list. Earlier this year, he sang “Stand By Me” at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago. He even added his own words to the song, “So Donald, Donald stand by us, and we’ll stand by you.” This is totally cringe-worthy, hilarious and worth watching.

DJ Romin is also in the building! His real name is Romin Zandi, he’s in his early 20s and spins Hip-Hop, House, Club, Electronic, and Latin music. He mainly performs in Washington DC, so he was an easy local talent to snag for the event. I don’t know much about him. He’s certainly no Deadmau5. Here’s a video to help you get introduced to Romin:

The Mixx and The Reagan Years will also be playing at this event. They’re actually one band, but each name represents an alter-ego of the group. When they’re going by the name The Reagan Years, they exclusively cover hit songs from the ’80s like “Don’t Stop Believing” from Journey. “The Reagan Years is one of the HOTTEST 80’s cover band in the US!” the All American Inaugural Ball says on its website. “You will swear you’ve gone back in time…”

Meanwhile, The Mixx is being described as “the Mid-Atlantic’s hottest Party Band.” Instead of playing music exclusive to the 1980s, they sing hit songs that span across five decades. They cover artists like Bruno Mars, Elle King, Boston, Usher, Miley Cyrus and The Beatles. Check out music from The Mixx:

DJ Young Rye is also scheduled to spin at this event. He’s the cousin of Just Blaze, well-known in the music industry for producing many of Jay Z’s songs. DJ Young Rye’s real name is Ryan Kersey. He describes himself as a “a true disc jockey who mixes music utilizing beat matching, fading, and other creative mixing skills, not just pushing play on a CD player or iPod.” Click on the video below to hear a song produced by DJ Young Rye:

The last DJ on the list is DJ Freedom. The All American Inaugural Ball describes DJ Freedom as someone who will get “you in the mood to celebrate!” They claim that “DJ Freedom will be taking requests and spinning all your favorite dance tunes.” He sounds like just your typical DJ. The musical group “A Place To Be Trio” will also be performing at the ball. Each singer is someone with some type of disability. Brendan Friedrich is blind and aspires to be the America’s first blind meteorologist. Amy Stone has Cerebral Palsy, and looks to use her music to change society’s perception of people in wheelchairs. Forrest Allen is the third member, who endured a Traumatic Brain Injury resulting from a snowboarding accident in 2011. A documentary on Allen will be released next month, entitled: High Notes. The last band on the list for the All American Inaugural Ball are The Star Spangled Sisters, who will be singing patriotic and uplifting songs to celebrate America and our 45th President of the United States Donald Trump.
