The OA has been so secretive, especially by Netflix’s standards, that this is the first we’ve seen of it, even though the show debuts Friday, December 16. The last time I binged watched a Netflix series in one sitting was when Stranger Things came out over the summer, so I’m totally due. Plus, little secret between you and me, I’m a sucker for secrecy. The less I know about something, the more excited I am about it. If you need me on Friday night, you can find me on my couch in Hoboken absolutely crushing this and a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.
Official synopsis for The OA:
From Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij, the visionary filmmakers behind Sound of My Voice and The East, comes a powerful, mind-bending tale about identity, human connection and the borders between life and death. The Netflix original series The OA is an odyssey in eight chapters produced in partnership with Plan B Entertainment, Netflix and Anonymous Content. The groundbreaking series offers audiences a singular experience that upends notions about what long-format stories can be.
