The Two Greatest Words In The English Language Shall Be Spoken Tonight: Game Seven

The two greatest words in sports are “Game 7.” Tonight, one city will end their World Series drought while the other one will continue to suffer and wonder “maybe next year.” The Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians will play tonight for all the marbles in Game 7 of the World Series. Both teams will throw arguably their best pitchers of the year into the game, as Kyle Hendricks of the Cubs will take on Corey Kluber of the Indians.
In order for the Cubs to force Game 7, they needed their bats to wake up. They not only woke up, but the bats demolished the Indians pitching as the Cubs won 9-3 in Game 6. Kris Bryant started things off with a solo home run in the first and Addison Russell hit a grand slam in the thirdrd to break the game open. If the Cubs want to win tonight, the middle of the order will have to deliver again. Schwarber, Bryant, Anthony Rizzo, Ben Zobrist and Addison Russell will have to continue their hot streaks at the plate. If Hendricks gets into trouble, look for Joe Maddon to turn to Jon Lester or John Lackey early on before sending in Aroldis Chapman late if all goes according to plan.
If you’re the Indians, getting down early was their downfall last night because, in the blink of an eye, it was 3-0 Cubs in the first inning. A costly miscommunication in the outfield led to two runs in the first inning for the Cubs so the Indians will have to clean up those errors if they expect to compete tonight. Because of the blowout, one bright spot is the Indians were able to give Andrew Miller and Cody Allen an extra day of rest so Terry Francona will be able to go to his bullpen early and often if necessary. Once again, if the Indians get out to an early lead, it will be hard for the Cubs to come back because of the dominant Indians bullpen.
The saying goes “Anything can happen in Game 7.” What fanbase will finally get that coveted World Series title they so desperately deserve? Let’s take a look at how to watch Game 7!
