Look, I get what NBC is going for, the first performance went insanely viral, so why not churn out another one? But, f*ck, at what cost NBC? Are you aware of how uncomfortable you’re making the country? America’s been through enough shit this year, is feeling painfully awkward every morning really something we need right now?
What made it even f*cking weirder — ya know, other than the song, outfits, and general vibe of the performance — were Feldman’ s comments about the performance:
“This song, by the way, is for America. We’re at a time right now when the world needs to focus, really, on peace and love and tolerance, especially with all the bullying. So, this is about the government. This is about the race. This is about the United States.
I’m not letting the bullies get to us. A lot of people get hate in the beginning because we’re doing something new — it hasn’t been done before. But, it’s all about innovation and being an artist, and we can’t be afraid to share our art.”
Corey Feldman, ladies and gents, saving our nation with one suicide-worthy concert at a time.
