The biggest night in hip hop will take place tonight, as the 11th edition of the BET Hip Hop Awards are set to air at 8:00 p.m. EST. They will be hosted by DJ Khaled, who I’m sure will bless us with motivational wisdom and awesome catch phrases. Drake leads all artists with a whopping 14 nominations, and he has now lead the field in nominations for three straight years. It’s Aubrey’s world and we’re just living in it.
But the night won’t be all about handing out awards, as there will be performances by Gucci Mane, Lil Uzi Vert, Quavo, Young Thug, Isaiah Rashad, Desiigner, 21 Savage and Dae Dae. I’m definitely looking forward to losing my shit and loudly mumbling along to “Panda.”
