Today’s Big 10-Big 12 matchup between the #3 Ohio State Buckeyes and the #14 Oklahoma Sooners is going to have huge college football playoff implications, making it one of the best games of the weekend.
Oklahoma lost its opener to in a thriller to Houston, so a loss today would almost knock the Sooners out of contention for a return trip to the Playoff. Not only that, but it would severely weaken the perception of the Big 12. However, a victory would return the Sooners to their preseason position as one of the nation’s top teams, giving them a shot at this year’s playoffs.
Ohio State’s defense, now led by former Rutgers coach Greg Schiano, is sure to be a difference maker. On the other side of the ball, OSU’s offense will rely on Mike Weber and their offensive line.
