Even though Canelo is the lineal middleweight champion, the Mexican fighter’s last five bouts have been at a catchweight of 155 pounds, which is five pounds below the middleweight limit. This fight will be the first time Canelo’s fought at the light-middleweight limit of 154 pounds since he knocked out Josesito López on September 15, 2012.
