Courtney Black is one of the millions of women in the world who used to be obsessed with unhealthy diets, essentially starving herself and then overexercising to lose the water weight her body needed. As someone who used to be a talented dancer, Black knew that her approach to fitness wasn’t something that was A) healthy or B) sustainable. At one point, she claims that she weighed around 95 pounds and that people told her that she looked like she was “dying.”
So after a few years of dangerous dieting, she decided to change her approach to weight and happiness. She continued going to the gym but started eating five (healthy) meals a day. She stopped worrying about looking like a stick and started working out–doing things other than daily eight-mile runs.

Attractive? Sure. But you should see what she looks like now that she’s eating healthy and treating her body right. It’s a serious improvement. And her followers on Instagram agree, too.
