Oregon Community College Student Missing Now Considered Homicide Victim

Kaylee Anne Sawyer is a missing 23-year-old Oregon woman whose case is now being treated as a murder investigation. Kaylee was a student at Central Oregon Community College (COCC) who went missing over the weekend. Photos of Kaylee started getting shared once news of her disappearance hit the web on Monday. Tragically, later in the day her case was upgraded to a homicide.
The Bend Bulletin is reporting that Kaylee was last seen in the parking lot of her apartment close to Central Oregon Community College around 1 AM local time. She is 5-feet 2-inches tall, weighs around 120 pounds and has two tattoos (a rosary on her ankle and an “Om” on her wrist).
Police tracked down Edwin Lara, a 31-year-old person of interest in the case. Edwin works security part-time at COCC who was found driving in Northern California on Tuesday AM.
