According to further reports, Milan’s main metro station was evacuated for a bomb threat because a suspicious package was found at the bus stop on the M2 line.
At around 1 P.M. EST, he underground metro service at Milan’s central station resumed on Monday after checks showed that a suspect package was a false alarm. Trains have resumed their usual schedules.

Milano Centrale is the main railway station of the City of Milan, Italy and one of the main railway stations in Europe. The station is a terminus and located at the northern end of central Milan. It was officially inaugurated in 1931 to replace the old central station (built 1864), which was a transit station and could not handle the increased traffic caused by the opening of the Simplon tunnel in 1906.
