The above photo is a picture of an active shooter taking aim at cars on Rio’s Red Line Expressway, also know as the “Highway Of Terror”. This highway is one of main road’s in Rio de Janeiro, and will used by most, if not all athletes and fans this summer during the [lead image via Daily Mail]
The road is the Red Line Expressway, which coincidentally is Rio’s main highway, and also the only route into Brazil’s Olympic city along which will every sports fan, athletics delegation and foreign dignitary will travel to get to the mega-event. The 13-mile highway runs from Rio’s international airport into the city. The problem is, the highway is surrounded by favela towns which are dangerous no-go zones controlled by heavily-armed drugs gangs.
It’s absolutely terrifying, and quite frankly, we’re amazed that the United States is still going to compete in this summer’s Olympic Games.
