The NFL was been one of the first American professional sports organizations to fully accept and integrate Snapchat into their league. Last September, the National Football League signed a content and advertising deal with Snapchat wherein they’d provide exclusive and in-depth content to the social media app. “NFL Live” was one of the first weekly programming schedules seen on Snapchat and proved incredibly successful.
But the revenue sharing plan between the NFL and Snapchat has absolutely nothing to do with why all your favorite football players are using the social media app. Pro Bowl players like Antonio Brown and JJ Watt are Snapping to connect with their fans, and show them an unfiltered look into their lives. They regularly give locker room footage, a glimpse into the night life, or even how long it takes them to recover from game day.
