Elina Svitolina is a hot and amazing female tennis player from Ukraine who’s quickly rising through the ranks. At the time this article was written, Elina had reached a WTA ranking of #20, but has gone as high as #14.
Elina was scheduled to face off against Serena Williams on May 31st, 2016 in the French Open (Roland-Garros), but a rain delay pushed that matchup until the first of June. That extra day of rest definitely benefitted Serena, who had played an extra four sets of doubles matches with her sister, Venus.
But Elina’s probably not too worried. She’s coming off a major victory over Ana Ivanovic, who won the French Open in 2008.
