Alex Lagowitz, a native of Livingston, NJ, fell to his death on Sunday after ingesting magic mushrooms and somehow falling 26 flights out of his window. Alex’s roommate, Max Kaplan, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of narcotics.
Before his tragic death, Alex had worked as a credit trading analyst for Merrill Lynch since the summer of 2015. He was a graduate of Colgate University, and a four-year athlete and golfer. He will be missed by his friends, family, and schoolmates.
Alex’s body was found on the patio of another third floor apartment, around 10 AM on Sunday morning. Sources indicated to the New York Post that Alex had ingested four grams of mushrooms.
