Patriots' Day 2016 Memes: Funny Photos, Best Jokes & Images

Patriots’ Day is often confused with Patriot Day on September 11th, or National Patriots’ Day in Quebec (that would be a province in Canada).
But no. The Patriots’ Day we’re talking about here is a holiday in April. Celebrated as a civic holiday in Massachusetts and Maine (which used to be a part of Massachusetts), Patriots’ Day serves to commemorate Battles of Lexington and Concord – the first battles of the American Revolutionary War in 1775.
Every year, the Battles of Lexington and Concord are re-enacted on Patriots’ Day. Starting at 6:00 AM, mounted actors with police escorts retrace the Midnight Rides of Paul Revere (a silversmith) and William Dawes (a tanner), who were known for alerting the Colonial military about the approach of the British armed forces right before the battles of Lexington and Concord. Gov. Frederic T. Greenhalge of Massachusetts said Patriots’ Day celebrates “the anniversary of the birth of liberty and union.”
In addition, the Boston Marathon is the biggest celebration of Patriots’ Day, so much so that the April holiday is also known as Marathon Monday. Over 35,000 people participate in the run every year. It is the world’s oldest annual marathon and ranks as one of the most famous road-racing events in the world.
Since Patriots’ Day is a holiday about liberty and union, we took the liberty of unionizing some of the best memes and funniest photos in one awesome post.
