This Movie Theater Wants To Ruin Everything Good About Going to the Movies Thanks to Millennials

Can we all agree on something real quick? When I go spend $20 on a movie ticket, the last thing I want to do is sit next to some a**hole on their phone. I don’t care if they’re texting their friends, calling their mistress, or silencing the damn thing when it goes off accidentally in the middle of a key scene — turn the damn thing off before you walk into the theater. IT’S ANNOYING!
Yes somehow, despite how awful this is, AMC Theaters CEO Adam Aron thinks it might be a good idea to allow cell phone use during screening.
HOLD UP, WTF?! ARE YOU SERIOUS? HAVE YOU EVER BEEN TO A MOVIE ADAM ARON?! SERIOUSLY! THIS IS LITERALLY THE WORST IDEA YOU COULD POSSIBLY HAVE!
And what’s the reasoning behind this asinine pontification? MILLENNIALS.
He explains, “When you tell a 22-year-old to turn off the phone, don’t ruin the movie, they hear please cut off your left arm above the elbow. You can’t tell a 22-year-old to turn off their cellphone. That’s not how they live their life.” Adam, are you f*cking kidding me? Yes you can definitely tell them that. And you are awful.
It’s bad enough a movie ticket cost more than my life savings, but now this?! Thank God for Netflix.
