Adult film star Amber Rayne was pronounced dead over the weekend from unknown causes. She was just 31-years-old.
On Sunday AVN confirmed that the adult actress passed away at her home on either Saturday night or Sunday morning. Sources close to the actress say that she “passed away peacefully in her sleep,” but the exact cause of death remains unknown. An autopsy is set to be performed this week.
Her social media accounts gave no inclination that anything was wrong. She shared photos of her family, friends, and horse leading up to her death.

Rayne was one of the many women who publicly denounced fellow colleague James Deen, saying that he was so violent with her on set that she started profusely bleeding and needed stitches.
“We’re friends now and I’ll sometimes bring it up as a joke and you can see it makes him physically uncomfortable when I do, so he does realize something was wrong that day,” Rayne told The Daily Beast. “I thought it was an insecurity phase. He was just starting out, he was still a young punk kid coming in, and I still didn’t know what the game was.”
He is one of the few performers who hasn’t expressed grief over her passing.

“She was a really good friend, and one of the best actresses and performers that I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with, and I’m just glad that I had the opportunity to work with her and call her a friend,” actor Stormy Daniels told AVN. He will be taking care of Rayne’s horse.
