Najim Laachraoui, also known as Soufiane Kayal, has now been announced as the lead suspect in the twin Brussels bombings at an airport and metro station that left 34 dead and 250 wounded. His photos and likeness were captured by Zaventem CCTV security cameras as he walked alongside the two other bombers, brother Khalid and Brahim el-Bakraoui.
Khalid, Brahim and Najim apparently took a taxi to the airport and acted suspiciously enough that the driver reported their activities.
Unlike Khalid and Brahim, Najim walked away from the airport bombing before they blew themselves up. In the photo below, you can see the two brothers wearing black gloves that are believed to be detonators.

Earlier today it was reported by various news outlets that Najim had been arrested by Belgian authorities, but we now know that’s incorrect.
