Kendrick Lamar dropped a surprise album Untitled Unmastered last night. Kendrick’s Top Dog Entertainment had announced earlier this week that they’d be dropping a project, and a placeholder for a new Kendrick Lamar album had actually been revealed on Spotify a few days before.
The head of TDE, Anthony Tiffith, also mentioned late this week that he was considering dropping some of the tracks that Kendrick had been performing on television. Believe it or not, that was Lebron James‘ suggestion.
