It has been a very tough season for the teams at the top of the Associated Press Top 25 rankings with more losses by teams in the top ten ever in the poll era. With the regular season winding down, there are just a few more polls left before the NCAA Tournament begins on March 15. The Kansas Jayhawks have re-taken the top spot after Villanova lost last week.
The Big Ten Conference makes their presence known with six teams in the top 16 including Michigan State at No. 2 along with Indiana at No. 12, Maryland at 14, Purdue at 15 and Iowa at 16. The Big 12 has Kansas at the top to go with Oklahoma at No. 6 and West Virginia at the No. 10 spot.
