Mayweather makes his first $10 million pay day when he made $25 million for a split decision win over Oscar De La Roya. He would get paid at least $25 million for his next 12 fights which increased his net worth by leaps and bounds over a very short period of time.

Mayweather is sued for not making payment on his $528,000 Mercedes Maybach 57S which he had borrowed $415,000 at an annual interest rate of 16% in order to pay for according to TheRichest.com. Mayweather didn’t make the $9,000 monthly payment for over a year.

Mayweather signs a six-fight, 30-month contract with Showtime which was called at the time “the richest individual athlete deal in all of sports.” Over the 30 months of the contract, Mayweather would make $440 million including $250 million when he fought Manny Pacquiao. The contract would allow Mayweather to become one of the highest-paid athletes. Mayweather made $105 million in 2014.
2015

In 2015, he added on the $250 million from the Pacquiao fight to go with another $15 million in endorsement deals. He finished his career in September 2015 by earning over $700 million in earnings from the boxing ring including $32 million from his final fight against Andre Berto.
While he did earn the most money of anyone in the world during 2015 as a whole with $300 million in his pocketbook, the years of cars and tax problems has eaten away at his overall net worth. There is still a strong possibility that Mayweather makes one final appearance in the ring with a chance at another $250 million pay day and the opportunity to be the only boxer to ever go 50-0.
