Miss COED 2016 Finalist Spotlight: Danielle Norris, Penn College

When we said our Miss COED 2016 contestants were smart, we weren’t lying. Danielle is majoring in business administration with a concentration in marketing, and has a minor in public relations and communications. Sounds like a mouthful, right? That’s because it is. But what else would you expect from someone who aspires to work for the NFL one day?

She enrolled at Pennsylvania College of Technology – a Penn State affiliate school – after transferring from Party Central, USA, Arizona State University. So which does she love more? Well let’s just say the guys and the curriculum are definitely more, ahem, “hands on” at Penn College.

The sassy senior is the oldest of all the finalists and arguably the wisest. Can she use her veteran status to score the Miss COED 2016 title? That’s up to you. Voting for the final round begins January 27!

How are the guys at ASU (where you transferred from) different from those at Penn?
ASU guys will show you a good time, but Penn College guys will build you an amazing house, fix your car, buy you a keg and explore the outdoors with you. Truthfully, because of the differences in surroundings, it’s hard to even compare the two.
You want to work in marketing. What’s the #1 company you’d love to work for? (I’ll try not to take personal offense if you don’t say COED Media Group).
There are so many amazing companies out there I would love to work for… (Hey there, COED Media 😉)  it’s going to be so hard to choose, but I would really love to work with a professional sports team, preferably football.
Are you a dog person or a cat person?
I’m allergic to cats, so I’m definitely a dog person. We’ve always had big dogs in my family.
You said if you could travel anywhere in the world, you would “time travel… go back in time and try to save society from turning into a sh*thole.” (Lolz). Can you be more specific?
Going back in time and saving society from turning into a sh*thole would be hard work. I’m not sure where I would start, but I’m thinking it begins with making sure Kris Jenner never had any kids. I’m open to hearing your suggestions once my time machine is built…
What made you decide to go to a tech school?
I decided to go to Penn College because of their hands-on teaching methods. I get to use a wide variety of advanced computer programs, design tools, and media outlets that most schools do not have the opportunity to use.
What do you look for in a guy?
The qualities I look for in a guy are pretty simple… They must be polite, fun, hardworking and as ambitious as I am.
Describe yourself in three words.
Describing myself in three words… that’s a difficult one… but I’ll go with independent, unpredictable, ambitious.
Do you have any superstitions?
I really don’t think I have any superstitions… for example, I’ve never been pulled over while driving, and I tell people that all the time, and I never knock on wood.
If your high school self could talk to you now, what do you think she would say?
My high school self would be so proud of where I’m at now.
