The Martian just took home the award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and WTF HOW IS THIS A FUNNY MOVIE?!
Let’s just break this down for a second – Matt Damon is presumed dead after a fierce space storm, except he’s not dead, he’s well and alive, and trying to stick it out on a foreign planet because his team left him there.
In what world is that funny? Compared to movies like Trainwreck – which had a comedienne as the main star – and Spy, The Martian seems totally out of place.
But whatever. Matt Damon also won Best Actor for the film.
