We literally can’t get away from the Kardashians, and while we don’t mind getting a few of those Kim Kardashian selfies on our Instagram feed, we do find it disturbing that people are actually trying to be them – like spending legit amounts of money to emulate their looks.
The latest to commit such a weird crime is Marlene Chinea, a 36-year-old from Miami Beach, Florida, who underwent $10,291 worth of plastic surgery to get Kim Kardashian’s ass. It’s weird and we want no part in it.
The certified nurse got a Brazilian butt lift after allegedly spending years doing squats only to get nothing out of it. This sounds unlikely, but let’s just go with it for now.
“No matter how much exercise I did, I’d never get the results I wanted,” she explains. “I was okay with my bum before but I thought a little more would accentuate my assets. I simply wanted more projection. I modelled my butt on Kim Kardashian. Kim is simply beautiful and anything she wears looks fabulous on her.”
Likely story.
Before getting the surgery, Chinea had to gain as much weight as possible, since the procedure involved taking fat from other parts of her body and transferring it to her butt. She wound up gaining 20 lbs over the course of a few months.
Despite the hardships – if you call eating whatever the f*ck you want, whenever you want a hardship – Chinea seems happy with the outcome. During the five hour procedure, Chinea had fat taken from her arms, upper and lower back, abdomen, flanks and thighs with liposuction.
“I’ve done lots of shopping to replace my wardrobe. Clothes for the most part have to be high waisted,” she says. “I was so excited with my new body that I was sure to buy outfits that Kim K would wear. I bought a couple of bodysuits and pencil skirts like she’s always wearing.”
Her procedure was done by one of the most sought-after plastic surgeons in Florida, Michael Salzhauer (better known as Dr. Miami), who claims that the Brazilian butt lift is the fastest growing procedure in America.
“I have performed thousands of Brazilian Butt lifts,” Salzhauer explains. “Somewhere between 4000-5000 over the last ten years. Year on year the amount of people having this surgery is basically doubling.”
