With a whole lot of sports lovin’ enthusiasm and equal amounts of incredible cheer talent, the Clemson Tiger’s cheerleaders do one heck of a job at heating up the Clemson University sidelines. Decked from head to toe in orange and purple with big bright smiles and tons of ‘out of this world’ team-spirited energy, the Clemson University cheer squad isn’t just another run of the mill college cheer team; these talented cheer-champions truly pack a punch of serious pep!
Consisting of both an All-Girl team and a large COED team, this talented group of cheer enthusiasts can be seen cheering their hearts out at every home football and basketball game that Clemson has to offer. They even occasionally rock the sidelines of volleyball games and away football games, too. With their big fluffy tiger mascot along for the ride, the Clemson cheerleaders are always bound to assist in making any sports event just that much more exciting.
Individual responsibilities for each squad vary, according to the school’s athletic page.
The Large Coed Cheerleading Team performs at home football games, home men’s basketball games, select home volleyball games, and select away football games. They also travel to men’s basketball post season games and bowl games when applicable.
The All Girl Cheerleading Team performs at home football games, home women’s basketball games, select home volleyball games, and select away football games. They also travel to post season women’s basketball games and the ACC Football Championship game when applicable.
Both teams practice 2-3 times a week and participate in strength and conditioning workouts twice a week.
