So this is weird… Chinese flight attendants are kissing apples and selling them online for up to $20, and people are actually buying them.
WTF?!
According to Foodbeast, the apples are being advertised on the Chinese equivalent of eBay: Tabobao.
The listing – which you can get a closer look at below – features photos of beautiful flight attendants kissing and posing with apples. Ummm…. weird.
Most of the girls featured are trainees from southwest China’s Sichuan Southwest Vocational College of Civil Aviation.
Prices range from $1.53 – $20.02, with one listing claiming that the apple had been kissed by 500 flight attendants. Sounds like a surefire way to contract Meningitis.
According to one of the main sellers, the oddity is actually for a good cause.
“We are the Sichuan Southwest Vocational College of Civil Aviation’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship team. The income from this ‘air hostess kiss’ campaign will be used to set up an University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurial fund to help more students realise their career dreams. Another portion of the income will be donated to an old people’s home.”
Well ok then, good for you guys. Keep being weird.
