While the Monmouth University Hawks Men’s Basketball team is currently enjoying one of their best starts in school history, the rest of the nation is enjoying watching the Hawks’ Bench Mob go wild after big plays.
It’s actually a miracle the NCAA–the Commissioner of the Fun Police–is letting the antics continue.
Monmouth’s rise to fame began very early in the season when the Hawks made a surprisingly deep run in the AdvoCare Invitational Basketball Tournament. They defeated Notre Dame and USC to lock up a third-place finish. But it wasn’t so much the Hawks’ winning three balls that got them all the attention as it was Tyler Robinson, Louie Pillari, Dan Pillari, and Greg Noack all of whom are bench regulars.
