After being known as the biggest douche on the Internet for as long as I can remember, revenge porn king Hunter Moore is finally getting what he deserves: a long-awaited jail sentence.
Moore – who was responsible for the site Is Anyone Up?, a page dedicated to scornful exes looking to exploit their former counterpart’s noodz – was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison late yesterday.

Moore accepted a plea deal back in February on federal computer hacking charges.
According to Death + Taxes,
In exchange for admitting that he paid codefendant Charles Evens to steal nude photos of several women from their emails, Moore was set to receive a minimum of two years and a maximum of seven years in the federal pen. On Wednesday, the 29-year-old was sentenced to 30 months in prison by United States District Judge Dolly M. Gee. According to Law Fuel, Moore must also pay a $2,000 fine and undergo three years of supervised release after serving his time. Moore’s plea agreement also stipulates that the former revenge porn mogul must notify his probation officer of “computer, computer-related device, screen name, password, e-mail account or ISP” he uses while under supervised release.
According to Motherboard, Moore’s accomplice – the man employed to steal the photos – was sentenced last week to two years and one month behind bars. Both men are also required to pay a $2,000 fine and undergo three years of supervised release.
In 2012 Moore expressed to the Village Voice that if someone killed themselves over his website, he’d be cool with it because he would get a ton of money. Charming!
“I do not want anybody to ever be hurt by my site—physically,” he says. “I don’t give a f*ck about emotionally. Deal with it. Obviously, I’d get a ton of heat for it. But—I’m gonna sound like the most evil motherf*cker—let’s be real for a second: If somebody killed themselves over that? Do you know how much money I’d make? At the end of the day, I do not want anybody to hurt themselves. But if they do? Thank you for the money.” I ask him to clarify. He adds that he’d remove the content or “do whatever I could to help the situation.” By money, does he mean by traffic or because he’d be famous and then, no matter what happened, cash in on that fame? It’s all very short-sighted. “The more traffic I’d have that day, I’m going to get paid for. So if someone fucking killed themselves? Do you know how much hate I’d get? All the Googling, all the redirects, all, like, the press”—here he sounds like he’s stifling a yawn; it is morning—”I’d get paid for, for that day. And whatever.”
Two years isn’t enough.
