There has been a rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning for over a decade now. This week’s matchup between the New England Patriots and Denver Broncos looked like the latest battle between the two but Manning will miss the game due to injury. However, Brady will bring his 10-0 Patriots to Denver to face Brock Osweiler and the 8-2 Broncos as New England tries to keep their undefeated season going.
New England won their tenth straight game with a 20-13 win over the Bills on Monday night. Brady has thrown for 3,320 yards, 25 touchdowns and four interceptions for the season and is always looking the way of Rob Gronkowski. Gronk has 51 catches for 843 yards and eight touchdowns while on the ground, it has been all about LeGarrette Blount lately. Blount has 569 yards rushing and six touchdowns but James White has been taking up some of his backfield work with the injury to Dion Lewis. This is a very motivated Patriots team looking to go undefeated again in the regular season.
Denver is coming off of a 17-15 win in Chicago last weekend behind Osweiler during his first career NFL start. Osweiler is 34-for-51 for the season with 396 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception but this game will be a much different animal facing New England. Demaryius Thomas is having another huge Pro Bowl season with 71 catches for 875 yards and two touchdowns while Ronnie Hillman has taken over as the lead running back from C.J. Anderson and has 528 rushing yards and five touchdowns for the year. Can Osweiler foil Bill Belichick and the Patriots in the thin mountain air?
