A battle between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Stanford Cardinal usually looks like a huge game. If Notre Dame can win this game, they may be in perfect position for that final spot in the top four.
Notre Dame struggled last week but beat Boston College 19-16 at Fenway Park. DeShone Kizer has thrown for 2,362 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the season to lead the Irish. Will Fuller is averaging over 20 yards per catch with his 50 receptions for 1,009 yards and 12 touchdowns. C.J. Prosise returned from injury last week and is now over the 1,000-yard mark on the ground with 1,032 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Is this the week where the Irish stumble or can they get to 11-1?
Stanford rebounded from a loss to get a 35-22 win against California last week. Kevin Hogan has thrown for 2,231 yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions to pace the Cardinal. Christian McCaffrey has taken charge running the ball with 1,546 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. Michael Rector has turned into a favorite target for Hogan with 27 catches for 423 yards and four touchdowns. This is a great chance for the Cardinal to spoil Notre Dame’s playoff chances. Can they win this home game and make it happen?
