WATCH: Turkish Fans Boo During Moment of Silence Video

The Western community is in understandably in outrage at the disrespectful showing. Watch video of the moment below:

Other than the screams, whistles and shouts at the outset of the game, the match was uneventful and ended 0-0. Prime Ministers of both Greece (Alexis Tsipras) and Turkey (Ahmet Davutoglu) attended the game together.

To be fair, there were no moments of silence for victims of the bombings in Ankara last October that killed over 100 people in Istanbul. Some Turkish fans are claiming that’s why they were booing, not because they were happy about the attacks. Either way, it’s not a good look for a country that borders on Syria–the nation the attackers were heard yelling during the attack on the Bataclan.
