The Hateful Eight would’ve been the biggest big deal new trailer this week if a certain space saga hadn’t busted out with a surprise trailer. There’s also been a few other great sightings of guy films, and we have them all here–plus a member of The Hateful Eight popping up again…
Star Wars: The Force Awakens [International Trailer]
Yes, we were told that there wouldn’t be any more The Force Awakens trailers, but the Star Wars empire (and J.J. Abrams) like to lie about things. This one has better sound than the official USA trailers, plus a few new images.We think that TIE fighters shot is new, and Japanese subtitles always make things look cooler to film geeks (like us)…..

Warcraft
We know that director Duncan Jones is a big deal (and we know who his dad is, yeah)–but this trailer for one of the decade’s most anticipated video-game adaptations isn’t exactly the epic greatness that we were expecting. Maybe it’s just looking too much like a CGI cartoon right now. Some IMAX screenings in 3D would probably help. At least it can’t end up in Battleship territory……

And while Samuel L. Jackson already got The Hateful Eight this week, he also appears in this new trailer for Spike Lee’s film about hard life in Chicago. Sam seems to like to work for directors who cops don’t like. Spike’s fallen on hard times lately, but this should help him make a comeback, along with an honorary Academy Award coming up. Could be a good film, too. He can still make good films….
