Texas Student Dishonors A&M Memorial Student Center

This past weekend a picture has been floating around social media of a University of Texas student throwing up a “hook em” while standing in the grass of the Memorial Student Center at Texas A&M University. The MSC at Texas A&M is a living memorial for all Aggies who have lost their lives protecting our freedoms in war. The building means something special to Aggies and to anyone who really loves our nation, regardless of what school you are affiliated with.
The MSC has very few rules. Don’t walk on the grass and don’t wear your hat inside. It’s simple.
There’s no reason as to why you should disrespect that. It has nothing to do with our rivalry with UT and really offends the hell out of me and everyone else who has a spine. I have family have gone to Texas A&M and died in war. I could give a damn less about some rivalry within college sports. Respect what deserves respect.
I hope whoever this women is understands why this is so offensive to many people and that in “doing what you want” you practically spit on the lives who have died protecting your selfish ass.
