Warriors Will Live Stream Pelicans Game On SamsungVR

NextVR will be streaming the Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans NBA Tip-Off tonight on the NextVR app, so anyone with a Samsung GearVR will be able to watch the game for free.
Courtesy of an agreement with Turner Sports, this will be the first time in history that an American sports event will be live streamed to the public. The game will be streamed in 180-degree video, which should be more than enough for you to enjoy the game. If you do choose to turn around, instead of seeing the crowd, you’ll be shown ads. Gotta pay the bills somehow.

In order to watch the game tonight on VR, you’ll need to own a Samsung GearVR. Google Cardboard will not work.
Once you strap on the device and turn it on, you’ll then need to download the NextVR app in Oculus Home for GearVR. The game should be featured front and center within the NextVR app.
The truth of the matter is that you’re not going to be able to watch the full game from start to finish, since the device will overheat (unless you’re using the Note 4 and you remove the battery cover and blow a fan into it the whole time). We suggest taking a break and removing your phone from the GearVR after every quarter for a couple of minutes, which is coincidentally the exact amount of time you’ll need to recover from the amazing player that is Steph Curry.
