Teen Claims PSU Student Assaulted Him For Being Gay

A police investigation is currently going on at Penn State University after a Long Island teen claimed he was assaulted for being gay by a PSU student.
John Mateer, 19, was visiting the college this past weekend when he was attacked while leaving a fraternity house. The photos, which are pretty gruesome, were posted on Mateer’s social media accounts shortly after.

Mateer originally believed the attacker – who apparently told him that he hated gay people – was a PSU fraternity brother, but it was later discovered that he was not a member of the frat he was leaving.

Penn State responded to reports of the incident, writing on Twitter: “We’ve received several tweets reporting an assault. University police and State College Borough police have been notified.”
