Clemson University, home of the purple and orange and Death Valley, is normally known for their football team, who, under the leadership of Dabo Swinney, won the National Championship in 2016 and has been in the college football playoff for the past few seasons.
Now even though college football is king in the South, don’t sleep on Clemson’s basketball team. They consistently make the March Madness tournament and are ranked either in the top 10 or are right there in the mix. For example, in the 2018 tournament, they were ranked 5th. Not too shabby.
Oh, and did I forget to mention their cheerleading squad? They’re maybe the best part of the entire Clemson experience. No, I am not kidding.
The Clemson University Cheerleading Program is a University activity sponsored and funded by the Athletic Department. The primary responsibility of the Cheerleading Program is to support the Clemson Athletics sports teams through crowd involvement efforts using cheers, signs, partner stunts, motions, dancing, pyramids, and tumbling.
